Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 8, 2026
Nine Months ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the Nine Months mobile app, how it is used, and your choices.
1) What Nine Months does
Nine Months is a pregnancy progress companion app. It helps users track pregnancy week/day based on a due date, supports optional reminders, and includes an in-app purchase to unlock the app.
2) Information we collect
A. Information you provide in the app
We store the following app data on your device:
- Due date
- Notification preferences (on/off and reminder time)
- Onboarding completion state
- iOS widget display payload (week/day/trimester progress text values)
B. Analytics and product usage data
We collect product usage events through PostHog in production. These events are used in aggregated/pseudonymous form and are not intended to directly identify you, such as:
- Onboarding progress events
- Paywall views and taps
- Tab switches
- Lookup actions (e.g., week/trimester result metadata)
- Widget interaction/configuration events
- Settings actions (e.g., due date updated, delete-all-data tapped)
Analytics providers may also process technical metadata such as device/browser/app context and IP-derived network data according to their own systems.
C. Crash and error data
We use Sentry for crash reporting and error monitoring in production. Crash reports can include technical diagnostic data such as stack traces, device/app version information, and runtime context needed to diagnose issues.
D. Purchases and subscription entitlement data
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and entitlement state. RevenueCat and the app stores (e.g., Apple) process purchase-related data needed to validate purchases and restore access.
E. Notifications
Nine Months uses local notifications for weekly reminders.
- We request notification permission only if you enable reminders.
- The app schedules reminders locally on your device.
- We do not use a custom push server in this version.
3) How we use information
We use data to:
- Provide core app functionality (pregnancy timeline and calculations)
- Save your settings and preferences
- Schedule local reminder notifications
- Measure feature usage and improve the app
- Detect and fix crashes and reliability issues
- Validate purchases and restore premium access
4) How information is shared
We do not sell personal information.
We share limited data with service providers solely to operate the app:
- PostHog (analytics)
- Sentry (crash/error reporting)
- RevenueCat (purchase and entitlement management)
- Apple/App Store services (purchase processing and platform operations)
If you open support/feedback links in an in-app browser, those external websites process data under their own privacy policies.
5) Data storage and retention
- App content data (like due date and reminder preferences) is stored locally on your device.
- You can remove local app data at any time using Settings → Delete all data.
- Third-party providers (PostHog, Sentry, RevenueCat, Apple) retain data according to their own retention policies and legal obligations.
6) Your choices
You can:
- Disable reminders in app settings
- Disable notification permissions in your device settings
- Stop using the app at any time
- Delete local app data from within the app
7) Children's privacy
Nine Months is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8) International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where applicable, those providers are responsible for safeguards governing international transfers under their terms and policies.
9) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date.
